Ringgold Baptist Church’s building was erected in 1887 and was formerly known as Union Baptist Church until May 2006. In April 2006, Ringgold Baptist Church became the owner of the former Union Baptist Church facility.

On May 14, 2006, a joint worship service was held between Union Baptist and Ringgold Baptist and on May 21, 2006, was the dedication of Ringgold’s new facility. On June 4, 2006, the church began having Sunday evening services. On July 22, 2006, two deacons were ordained and on August 27, 2006, the church baptized its first four candidates.
